After reading the Scott Pilgrim books, I am dying for more! If someone told me that this was an ordinary comic book or Manga I would disagree. The awesome, video-game style vibe to the whole series is above amazing.
The genius story telling is set in a normal (well sort-of) world were 23 year-old Scott Pilgrim is dating high schooler: Knives Chau, until his heart is stole by the girl in his dreams, Ramona Flowers who just happens to have 6 evil exes?
I think I just really like the Scott Pilgrim character because how much I relate to him. Well, I didn't have to fight 6 evil exes but Scott Pilgrim is such a Happy-go lucky character who is written like a video game character, but at the same time is a total nerd.
The other characters in the books are great as well, and they all help build Scott up as a character. Ramona Flowers, of course being the girl with as many super-powered evil exes as the number of brain cells in my head after watching all of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, really shows that Scott will give up everything to be with Ramona. Scotts gay roommate: Wallace Wells, and Scotts band members: Kim Pine and Stephen Stills also have great character arcs.
