Yesterday I watched Scott Pilgrim Vs the World, and this is unlike any other book adaptation. Just short of the best comic book film, it is the best most comic book comic book film.
If you wanted to see my review of the story, check out my book review from last week, but here's my changes form the book review. Katkatayanagi twins were wasted. In the book, they used robots and A.I to fight Scott, which made a highlight for one of fights, but in the movie, there just in a concert to set up Gideon Graves.
The third an fourth book are some of my favourites, it was just a shame they were rushed in this part of the film. At the start Envy Adams was teased three times in the first few minutes, and only made an appearance for ten minutes of the film. Todd Ingram's fight was cool, and I loved the Vegan Police.
The casting and directing is great as well. The characters talk like the voices in my head when I read the books, and Edgar Wright directs the film like a living comic book, which I very much enjoyed.
For Scott Pilgrim VS the world, I give an 8.5 out of ten.
