Episode One
The first Episode opens with the Armorer forging a Mandalorain Helmet for a young child, I did not like what they did with the new design for Mandalorain helmets, but I am glad they are still using the old helmets for older Mandalorians.
When the Mandalorian goes to Greef Karga, it kind of feels silly. Although IG droids are much more available on many more planets, the Mandalorian insist on using one that tried to kill Grogu in the first episode. When they tried to resurrect IG 11, I thought the stop motion-like, horror movement from IG 11 was quite cool.
I thought the cameo from the engineers was decent, they may not be the exact engineers from Rise of Skywalker but this was kind of cool. The memory chip they need felt pointless, because if IG needs a new memory chip, why not get a new droid? This just feels like a way to extend the episodes.
My favourite scene from the episode was by far the Bokatan scene from the end of the episode, as a big fan of the Clone Wars and rebels, there is so many cool easter eggs teasing to Rebels, and that is one of the main reasons I am exited for Ahsoka.
Episode Two
At the start of the episode 2 Mando asks for the IG 11 memory chip, which last episode I thought was a way to extend the episode, but in this episode Mando buys an old R5 droid, who is rubbish at his job and is rusty even though he could of bought a new IG droid, with a bunch of weapons for free from Greef Karga.
Once they got to Mandalore, Grogu and the Mandalorian go into the city where the droid medianly gets stabbed, and a General Grievous-like creature attacks the Mandalorian, luckily Bo Katan saves the Mandalorian, and we get a reference to Ezra: "I knew a lot of Jedi."
When the Mandalorian goes into the bath he falls into the diaper dept of the water and sees a fish monster thing that looks like the Mandalorian logo. This makes me rethink if the Amorer is a good guy or not.
Episode Three
I definitely think this is the weakest episode so far, I definitely enjoyed seeing Coruscant again and it ddi give us really interesting details, but this is "The Mandalorian", not "The New Republic".
The first bit of the episode was good, but I thought the Mythosaur would have been a bigger threat to the Mandalorian, but they flew out in time. I definitely think it will show up again, especially with Bokotan's suspicions.
But then we go to Coruscant where a guy whose name I forgot is presenting a speech about cloning. He is leaking imperial research, so anyone in that audience could clone someone.
Then we spend a long 30 minutes trying to get clone information, only for it to be stolen, and the guy who I forgot his name's memory gets wiped. This episode could of just been some imperials getting some clone information and 75% Mandalorian focused.
Episode Four
This scene was combined similarly to when Mando got new Mandalorain Amour as when the armour bangs the bescar together, as we see a flashback to when Grogu was being rescued by the Jedi. Now we see which one! None other than Ahmed Best, Jar Jar himself is playing the Jedi. We have actually seen the Jedi before in a 2020 Star Wars game show.
The rumour is that Grogu will get a Mando armour made of IG 11, and Taika Waititi will act as a Jarvis style voice inside Grogu's suit. I also think when Bokatan might get some armour to honour the mythosaur, we probably will see a flashback to her father.
Episode Five
In the 5th Episode: The Pirate, it was wild. One of my favourite episodes so far. Zeb makes an appearance after almost 10 years after his first appearance. The Pirate were all great casting and I enjoyed their scenes.
At the end of the episode we see Bokatan take her helmet of, as she walks both ways, she will recruit more Mandalorians to join the way and more Mandalorians to be in the new are that Kreef is telling them to buy.
The post credit scene shows a rebel stumble across an imperial ship which supposed to be exporting Moff Gideon, but it exploded and just some bescar remains. I think that Moff Gideon is going to try and become the king of Mandolore like what Darth Maul did.
Episode Six
This episode has so many famous actor cameos, it is hard to see this as Star Wars. First we got Harry Holland as a calamari, Jack Black and Lizzo as a King and Queen and finally Doc Brown himself cameoed as a Count Dooku supporter.
This episode felt like a detective show, which I very much liked. Acolyte is going to be a detective style show from the view post of the Sith. Especially with Christopher Lloyds character being the main culprit, does seem like a detective show.
In the end of the episode they make an excuse to make Bokatan becomes the Queen of Mandalore again, which to me, it doesn't make sense. She already has ruled Mandalore before and I don't know if she can become it again. Also, the monster from episode two didn't wield the darksaber, so the monster was never the ruler of Mandalore.
Also, when Bokatan gets the Darksaber she holds it by her hip instead of in the air. Maybe she is not still worthy of the saber?
Episode Seven and Eight:
I love Grogu's robot IG 12 suit in this episode, I think this is a perfect mix of bringing IG 11 back, but also giving us a good Grogu suit. Unfortunately his suit was got rid of in then final episode.
I also liked the scene in this episode where Moff Gideon is calling the empire and we see Hux's father who is played by Domnall Gleeson's brother! Grand Admiral Thrawn is also mentioned in this scene, setting up Ahsoka.
I thought we would see Pas Visla's death in this episode, I did like his character, and I think he will show up in Prequel stories.
Moff Gideon's clones are using the force, and I think this would of made a great fight scene, so if Grogu used his force powers to survive the explosion, why couldn't they survive the explosion?
The series ends rather too satisfyingly and I think it would have been better if the series ended with a post credit scene with the reveal as Thrawn. It say Thrawn will return in Ahsohka.
Theories:
Theory Number One: The Mandalorian will betray the Republic.
At the end of the episode we see Mando got to the New Republic and is asking for a job, however... Mando can't get a good job, as that way the series would be very repetitive. So I think in someway, Mando is going to disagree with the New Republic and loose there trust, so he has to betray the New Republic.
Theory Number Two: The Armorer is turn evil.
At the start of season 3, I thought The Armorer was going to be bad but I think in this series there is more evidence she will be the villain. In season 3 Bokatan became Queen of Mandalore and the Armorer stayed with her. In Clone Wars Maul tried to become King of Mandalore and their helmets look a bit similar.
Final Theory: Grogu will get an upgraded Mandalorian Suit.
In this episode, Grogu lost the IG 12 Suit so Mandalorian adopted him to take care of and make Grogu his appretice. Now the IG 12 is gone, I think after his training, Grogu will get an upgraded bescar IG-13 suit were we will see the flashback of his completed origin with Ahmed Best in the forging scene.
