The Mario Movie 2: Plot Concept

What if? The Super Mario Bros. Movie's sequel were to be written and directed by me. What would I do? The plot would follow Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day), cleaning up the mess after Bowser (Jack Black) came to their world. The Kong's (Seth Rogen) would feature very briefly as now they inhabit Brooklyn as New Donk City.

There is a very big plumbing problem after Bowser's attack though. Mario and Luigi go down to the sewers and find a Yoshi Egg. Luigi thinks there is Chocolate inside of it, so they bring it home. Yoshi (Taika Waititi) then hatches out of it. Mario recognises the creature from the mushroom kingdom and knows they need to take it back to their world.

The pipe, knowing it is a dimensional gateway, is now heavily guarded, so Mario and Luigi sneak into the pipe, but after the guards shoot the pipe they are pushed out of the vortex and fall in the void.

They find what they think is a Super Star, but it turns around and it is a Luma Lee! The Luma Lee pulls Mario away from Luigi and back into the vortex. Unfortunately, he is pulled too far up into the Galaxy.

Mario falls into the Reverse World were he meets Wario (Pedro Pascal) and Wallugi (Willem Dafoe) who are Reverse versions of Mario and Luigi. After escaping the Reverse Dimension, Wario and Wallugi are seeking power, like the power star.

Meanwhile, Luigi meets E. Gadd (Andrew Garfield) Who tells him ghosts of all worlds haunt the void and Luigi makes it his mission to suck up all the ghosts ro help E. Gadd. After facing a bunch of Koopas he meets Ghost Bowser (Jack Back).

Mario finds another Luma Lee and goes to the top of the Galaxy. Mario meets Rosalina who tells him about the stacked Galaxy and then sends Mario and Luigi back to their world.

When they return to the mushroom kingdom, Peach and Toad (Anya Tailor-Joy, Keegan Micheal-Key) don't remember Mario though. That is all to do with Wario and Walluigi who hijacked a Luma Lee to send them to Mario's universe and prevent them from visiting the Mushroom Kingdom.

Wario and Walluigi are friends with Bowser, but really just want the Super Star. Bowser has taking over all the islands. Mario and Bowser have a final battle, before Bowser drowns in Lava. Mario has a fight with Wallugi and steals Wario's Luma Lee, overpowering it with the Super Star and resetting the events of Wario and Wallugi.

Post Credit scene shows Bowser being resurrected by Kamek and becoming Dry Bowser. Second Post Credit shows Rosalina talking to a Luma Lee, "I'm glad we didn't tell them about the other worlds.", panning over to a cracked mirror showing an animated Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby and Splatoon.
