From a TMNT Mutant Mayhem TV series going soon, to more delays in the film industry, here is everything in movie and TV this week.
Earlier this week we got our first teaser for Loki Season 2, and it looks bonkers. I think in this series we will learn more about the origins of the TVA as a variant of Kang and Renslayer form the early 20th century are discovering the multiverse and we see B-15 and Mobius before they joined the TVA. Mobius is either selling or buying a jets, and B-15 is shown in a hospital gown.
Also this week TMNT Mutant Mayhem released, it is getting praised by critics with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, so now Paramount have announced a TV show, probably on Paramount Plus, set in this Ninja Turtle world. I would like to see a TV show based on some of the villains origin stories, because I refuse to believe that all of these villains were born the exact same way as the turtles.
Last week, a lot of delays hit the film and TV world because of the strike, but now Sony has announced delays for their Sony Marvel films. Madame Web has been delayed to Valentines Day next year, Venom 3 is releasing July 12th 2024 and Kraven is delayed to August 30th 2024. beyond the Spider-Verse has a 2026-2028 release window. Some I am fine with, but now Kraven is coming out almost a year later.
A film that is doing well in the box office a the moment is Barbie with a 500 million dollar milestone reached just recently. It is clear Mattel wants to do more Toy movies (Mattel Cinematic Universe?) as Hot Wheels and Barnie will be getting their movie debut in the future.
