Back to the Future is one of my favourite, if not my favourite movie, but it wasn't always the same, though lots of different versions, castings and studios producing the film, this is: Scrapped from Back to the Future.
In the early stages of the film, it wasn't the famous DeLorean, which was a car at the time of the film, but know it has become famous for Back to the Future, the Time Machine Marty uses was supposed to be a fridge, but it was scrapped. I wonder if the fridge scene in Indiana Jones was inspired by this concept?
The movie had many studios producing the film, more than forty declined, but not many people know that Disney were asked to produce the film. Disney was known for its cartoon and silly family films, so the studio declined because the film was 'too risky for their brand'.
The film then got the interest of Steven Spielberg and the rest is history. But, they didn't cast Micheal J Fox first, in fact Eric Stolz was originally Marty Mcfly and had filmed multiple scenes, because Micheal J Fox was busy filming Family Ties. However, Eric was 'too physical' playing Marty, so with a very chaotic schedule, Micheal was brought back in.
Next time we will be looking at the Scrapped media of the original Marvel films.
