A sort-of-reliable source has reported that Jake Gyllenhaal, who previously played Mysterio in the MCU, is the most recent actor to play Reed Richards. I have a theory that Mysterio in Far from home was Reed Richards. We know that Mysterio lies a lot, and Stark glasses couldn't confirm his identity, so his name is different.
Perhaps in an alternate reality, Reed Richards rose to the top of the technology industry instead of Tony Stark and became of hero, sending his friends and family into space, giving them super-powers after they get radiated. And maybe somehow, Kang brings them into the MCU for his battle world?
